{"id":3010,"date":"2020-12-15T17:11:42","date_gmt":"2020-12-15T08:11:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.meisei.co.jp\/english\/?post_type=news&#038;p=3010"},"modified":"2020-12-15T17:32:02","modified_gmt":"2020-12-15T08:32:02","slug":"p3010","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.meisei.co.jp\/english\/news\/p3010","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Hayabusa 2&#8221; Re-entry capsule returned to Earth."},"content":{"rendered":"On December 6, 2020, a Re-entry capsule from the \u201cHayabusa 2\u201d has conducted about  5bn km mission (about 3bn miles) and landing back on Earth.<br>\r\n<br>\r\n\u201cHayabusa 2\u201d is designed for investigating the C-Type Asteroid Ryugu and returning asteroid samples.<br>\r\n<br>\r\nMEISEI has developed an internal Digital Camera for a \u201cDCAM3\u201d (Deployable Camera) to photograph \u201cSCI\u201d (Small Carry-on Impactor) at the moment of collision with the asteroid and a \u201cNIRS3\u201d (Near-Infrared Spectrometer) , which is expected to get a clue as to how such primitive hydrous asteroids evolved. We have contributed to the success of the exploration mission to clarify the origin and evolution of the solar system as well as life matter.<br>\r\n<br>\r\nMEISEI will continue to contribute to Japan&#8217;s space development activities and social development based on our technologies cultivated thus far.\r\n","protected":false},"template":"","news_tag":[60],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.11 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>&quot;Hayabusa 2&quot;
