Since our founding in 1938, we have leveraged our core technologies of measurement and communication in the fields of meteorology, disaster prevention, space, and aviation to help achieve a safe and secure society. In regard to meteorology, we develop and manufacture various types of high-precision meteorological instruments that measure temperature, humidity, wind speed, and atmospheric pressure, as exemplified by the AMeDAS system, as well as radiosondes essential for upper-air observation. These products are widely applied across meteorological observation networks both in Japan and overseas. In the field of earthquake disaster prevention, our measurement and analysis technologies, including seismometers, volcanic observation equipment, and tsunami warning systems, support the rapid provision of information and the strengthening of disaster prevention measures when disasters occur.
For aviation, we contribute to safe airport operations and aircraft flight safety through air traffic control systems and aviation weather observation equipment.
In the field of space, we design and manufacture satellite-mounted cameras, spectrometers, and high-energy-particle sensors, supporting the frontlines of Earth observation and space exploration. These products and technologies receive high praise from government agencies, research institutions, and industry partners worldwide due to their broad contribution to social safety and security.
Meisei Electric has recently become a member of the Nohmi Bosai Group. As a pioneer in the disaster prevention industry with a history spanning more than a century, Nohmi Bosai has supported social safety and security primarily through indoor fire protection and disaster prevention technologies, such as fire alarm and fire extinguishing systems. In recent years, under the vision of expanding its business domain to all types of disasters as a comprehensive disaster prevention manufacturer, the company has also been focusing on outdoor disaster prevention and the development of new solutions.
Through our integration into the group, the fusion of Nohmi Bosai’s indoor disaster prevention technologies with Meisei Electric’s outdoor disaster prevention and space observation technologies will drive development of innovative disaster prevention solutions that connect indoors and outdoors, observation and control, and Earth and space. In particular, we are confident that our earthquake observation technology and meteorological instruments will create strong synergies with Nohmi Bosai’s fire and disaster prevention technologies, leading to the creation of new value that protects lives and property from disasters.
Moving forward, we will work with the Nohmi Bosai Group to deploy the advanced disaster prevention technologies developed in Japan throughout the world, aiming to provide global disaster prevention and mitigation solutions. We will continue to embrace challenges and pursue technological innovation to deliver safety and security to people around the world who face the threat of natural disasters.
