Successful Launch of the encapsulates Second Greenhouse Gases Observing Satellite “IBUKI-2” (GOSAT-2) aboard H-IIA Launch Vehicle No. 40

H-IIA Launch Vehicle No. 40 equipped with the encapsulates Second Greenhouse Gases Observing Satellite “IBUKI-2” (GOSAT-2) was launched from the JAXA Tanegashima Space Center at 13:08 (Japan Standard Time, JST) on Monday, October 29, 2018.

This launch vehicle was equipped with one Picture Compression Equipment- Split Screen (PCE-ss), three monitor cameras, and one floodlight, all of which were developed by MEISEI. Each products are monitoring situation from launch to arrive the space.
“IBUKI-2” was equipped with three monitor cameras, and one control unit, all of which were developed by MEISEI.
Leading up to the launch, MEISEI was also in charge of radiosonde observations to confirm the weather above Tanegashima Island.
