The H-IIB Launch Vehicle No. 8 equipped with the H-II Transfer Vehicle “KOUNOTORI8 “(HTV8) was launched from the JAXA Tanegashima Space Center at 1:05 (Japan Standard Time, JST) on Wednesday, September 25, 2019.

H-IIB Launch Vehicle was equipped with Picture Compression Equipment- Split Screen (PCE-ss), four monitor cameras, and a floodlight, all of which were developed by MEISEI. Each products are monitoring situation from launch to arrive the space.

Leading up to the launch, MEISEI was also in charge of radiosonde observations to confirm the weather above Tanegashima Island.
