“BOSAI” is a program that promotes understanding and information sharing of disaster prevention knowledge in order to protect lives from disasters. By analyzing the mechanism by which disasters pose a threat from a scientific point of view, we will unravel the power of natural disasters and introduce measures to protect lives under various themes.
Tornadoes, which occur on average more than 20 times a year in Japan, are said to be the most difficult meteorological phenomena to observe. POTEKA will be introduced as an initiative to create a new observation network on the ground and aim for prediction.
