MEISEI Receives Certificate of Appreciation from the “Hayabusa 2” Project Team

08 Mar. 2022

The certificate of appreciation from the "Hayabusa 2" project team

We received a certificate of appreciation from the JAXA Hayabusa 2 Project team. The asteroid explorer “Hayabusa 2” was launched to the asteroid Ryugu in December 2014, successfully bringing samples from Ryugu back to Earth in December 2020. The certificate of appreciation was sent not only to MEISEI as a company but also to our individual team members to commemorate the return of Hayabusa 2 to Earth.

We developed “DCAM3” (Deployable Camera) (a high-resolution digital camera for scientific observations) used to observe the impact experiment, and “NIRS3” (Near-Infrared Spectrometer) used to determine whether water exists, contributing to the success of the “Hayabusa 2” exploration mission.

MEISEI will continue to contribute to Japan’s space development initiatives, leveraging our technologies developed over time.
