MEISEI participated in the a laboratory campaign of WMO Upper-Air Instrument Intercomparison campaign (UAII2022) held from March 26 through April 8 at the Lindenberg Observatory of Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD), the German meteorological office.

The UAII2022 is an international event where 12 radiosonde manufacturers around the world participate to evaluate the performance of their radiosondes. Prior to the radiosounding campaign (field Intercomparison) scheduled for August 2022, various tests were conducted using indoor facilities (to evaluate the effect that solar radiation has on temperature measurement and the delay in response of hygrometers at low temperature, which is considered important for measurements using radiosondes).

MEISEI will continue to actively participate in these international initiatives so we can help improve meteorological observation technologies by manufacturing high-quality meteorological observation instruments.
